Single origin – Colombia Decaffeinated

These 100% Arabica washed beans comes from the Azahar Coffee Company in Colombia.  It has a bold flavour profile, with notes of orange, cream, fudge, malt and caramel. It is decaffeinated using a natural method  – a mix of acetic acid (vinegar) and a natural extract distilled from sugar cane, blackberries, beets or sometimes grapes. The beans are steamed to open their pores and then rinsed in this mixture repeatedly to remove the caffeine.
